From the pleasures of love to those of finery, from the pleasures of the table to family joys, this is a journey into everyday life in Ancient Egypt. Around a hundred varied objects – dating from the earliest period (3100 BC) to the latest (Greco-Roman era) – demonstrate that the pursuit of happiness formed an integral part of this civilisation.
