mudac is delighted to welcome school classes to its new halls and its cultural outreach room, as young people are the audience of tomorrow.

School tours, visit materials and educational packs linked to the various temporary exhibitions and the semi-permanent exhibition are available.

With the various exhibitions, the Visitor Welcome Team offers various freely accessible teaching tools to help raise awareness of societal issues in the classroom.

Free guided tours for teachers

Each exhibition opening features a free guided tour for teachers: information on the works and educational approaches are discussed. This tour is suitable for all school levels.

School tours

Take a guided tour of our exhibitions to better understand current issues through contemporary design and applied arts. These tours are adapted to the age of the students (from 4 to 18 years old).

Building culture awareness workshops

Plateforme 10: The city is changing, three museums come together on one site.

Ville en tête offers a workshop to raise the awareness of children to the transformations of the city of Lausanne and the emergence of new museums. Ideal for school visits, the workshops can be organised over a morning.

One site, three museums

“One site, three museums” tour: architectural tour of the Plateforme 10 site, with historical information on the development of the site and the creation of the three museums. The tour takes place mainly outside. Access to the museums is limited.

Duration: 1.5 hours
Price: CHF 300 per group of 25 people

“Photo Elysée – mudac” tour: architectural tour of the Photo Elysée and mudac buildings, designed by the architects Aires Mateus.

Subject to availability, tours are possible every day except Tuesdays, when the museums are closed.
