Each exhib­i­­tion open­ing comes with a free guided tour for teach­ers, which includes inform­a­­tion about the works and teach­ing ideas. The tour is suit­­able for all school levels.

Take a guided tour of our exhib­i­­tions to gain a better under­­stand­ing of current issues through contem­­por­ary design and applied arts. These visits are adap­ted to the age of the pupils (from 4 to 18 years old).

Plate­­forme 10: The city is chan­­ging, three museums in one place!
Ville en tête offers work­shops to raise chil­dren’s aware­­ness of the trans­­form­a­­tions taking place in the city of Lausanne and the emer­­­gence of new museums. Ideal for school trips, the work­shops can be organ­ised over a morn­ing.

• “One site, three museums” tour: an archi­tec­tural tour of the Plate­­forme 10 site, with histor­ical inform­a­­tion on the devel­op­­ment of the site and the creation of the three museums. The tour takes place mainly outdoors, with limited access to the museums. Dura­­tion: 1.5 hours.Price: CHF 300 per group of 25 people. Book

• “Photo Elysée – mudac” tour: archi­tec­tural tour of the Photo Elysée and mudac build­ings, designed by archi­tects Aires Mateus. Subject to avail­­ab­il­ity, visits possible every day except Tues­days, when the museums are closed. Dura­­tion: 1 hour. Price: CHF 240 per group of 25 people.Book

A great oppor­­tun­­ity to share a fun moment, learn new things, and to arouse the curi­os­ity of both young and old. For chil­dren aged 6 and over, accom­pan­ied by an adult.

From model­ling to assembly, chil­dren will be awakened to the many sensa­­tions of the museum. A creat­ive moment designed for 3– to 5-year-olds, accom­pan­ied by an adult.

As part of its extra­cur­ricular activ­it­ies, mudac offers group tours for chil­dren and teen­agers related to its exhib­i­tions.

• Time slots: Wednes­day after­noons and during school holi­days, from 1pm to 5pm

The mudac has developed a policy for welcom­ing chil­dren from a very young age and offers child­care profes­sion­als suit­able visit­ing condi­tions for conduct­ing visits inde­pend­ently.

Visits with a group of young chil­dren:

• Reser­va­tions: not neces­sary (spon­tan­eous visits possible)
• Admis­sion: free for chil­dren and accom­pa­ny­ing adults

Please note that if the exhib­i­tion capa­city limit is reached, you may be redir­ec­ted to another exhib­i­tion.

The mudac devel­ops tours tailored to the needs and abil­it­ies of chil­dren, teen­agers, and adults with disab­il­it­ies. Depend­ing on the needs of the group, the approaches offered during a tour are varied.

For groups of school-age chil­dren and teen­agers, tours are free of charge.

• Priv­ileged access to exhib­i­tions through free private guided tours and specific docu­ment­a­tion.
• Regu­lar meet­ings with the cultural medi­at­ors respons­ible for the project, exhib­i­tion curat­ors, and artists.
• The Culture Pass­ers then invite their famil­ies, acquaint­ances, or people unfa­mil­iar with the insti­tu­tion to visit the museum in a spirit of exchange, learn­ing, and shar­ing.
