The result of a collaboration between mudac and the Toms Pauli Foundation, the publication accompanying the exhibition Times in Tapestry. Goshka Macuga x Grayson Perry x Mary Toms explores the various dimensions of a medium through four main themes: tapestry and its creative process, its interaction with space, its narrative function, and its political and social engagement. At the intersection of these themes are contemporary tapestries by Goshka Macuga and Grayson Perry, and 17th-century Flemish tapestries preserved in Lausanne.
The publication, which will be available in French and English, will bring together, under the direction of Marco Costantini and Magali Junet, several texts by authors from both the world of tapestry and the contemporary art scene. This book presents essays by Marco Costantini, Sophie Herbin, Magali Junet, Anne-Sophie Laruelle, Diane Maechler, Zané Purmale, Grant Watson, and Errol Van de Werdt in a booklet.
The texts are accompanied by 23 separate plates reproducing the works in the exhibition. The collection, presented in a luxury box set, is published in 100 numbered copies in French and 100 numbered copies in English. The publication is produced by mudac editions in collaboration with the Toms Pauli Foundation.

This publication is available from our bookshop.
