Design, did you mention design?
Although the word design is very common in everyday language, its definition remains problematic. Nobody is really able to give a precise meaning to it, be they specialists or members of the public. For several years now, immersed in the subject on a daily basis, the mudac has been attempting to define the limits of the term more precisely with the exhibition Design, did you mention design?.
Approached as a series of focused explanations, this exhibition has no ambitions to decide on a single definition. It opens up various paths for interpretation, coming back on the history of design, its various styles, its characteristics. It tries to understand how designers work, what links them to one another and how a designed object is realised. An approach that is voluntarily wide while remaining light, for a focused thematic.
